MAESTRO Departure Manager (DMAN) - co-developed by DSNA and Egis Avia - has been in service since 9 November 2010 at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. The system contributed to the accreditation of the Airport-Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) label on November 16th 01h UTC for Paris-CDG.

Channel Islands airspace design

The States of Jersey Board of Aviation has appointed Cyrrus Ltd – teamed with Egis Avia – to undertake a complete redesign of the airspace around Jersey and Guernsey. The project will also modernise the procedures used by arriving and departing aircraft.

AFI region ANSPs meeting, Cotonou

Nairobi Airport expansion, Kenya

Egis was awarded an engineering contract with the Kenya Airports Authority who manages international airports in Kenya. This project is conducted in tandem by companies of the Egis group with Egis Avia (as project leader), Egis Bceom International and its Kenya-based branch, hence highlighting the synergy of expertise among Egis subsidiaries. Aviation Solutions and ENTEC companies also take part in the project as subcontractors.

55th ATCA Conference, Maryland, USA

The 55th annual Air Traffic Control Exhibition & Conference, organised by the US Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) took place at Gaylord National Resort Convention Centre in National Harbor, Maryland from October 24th to 27th. Some of Egis Avia's applications (MAESTRO and SCANSIM) were running on the screens of WIDE corporation during the show.

A new award for Egis Avia’s studies related to TCAS

About a year ago, the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics awarded a prize to Egis Avia’s Surveillance, Separation and Safety team for its research works related to the Traffic collision avoidance system (TCAS). On September 22, 2010, RTCA was organising its Fall Symposium featuring the Annual Awards Luncheon. Once again, Egis Avia has been recognised for the work done in the past year, especially its contribution to producing new specifications for the TCAS II system.

CASCADE safety

The French Navy relies on Egis Avia for its ATC training systems

Egis Avia has been selected by the French Defence (DGA) to deploy simulation and training systems for Navy air traffic controllers (referred to as SECAM project). Attributed in January 2010 to the consortium formed by Egis Avia (as team leader), OKTAL and INEO, the fixed part of the initial contract was recently completed by an addendum to extend the system to additional sites.
