Egis Avia participates in the 5th EASA Rotorcraft Symposium

Egis Avia will be participating in the 5th Rotorcraft Symposium organised by EASA on 7th & 8th December 2011 in Cologne, Germany.

During the forum Egis Avia - with the support of Eurocopter - will be delivering a presentation on the regulatory issues raised by “GARDEN”, a project co financed by the Clean Sky Joint Undertaking. This project aims to study and implement new environment friendly instrument flight procedures for rotorcraft operations. These IFR procedures are based on the use of satellite navigation to enable rotorcraft to reach busy or terrain-challenged airports fully independently of the airplane traffic operating from or to active runways. Egis Avia, as the leader of the GARDEN project provides capabilities in terms of regulation, satellite navigation and safety studies.
The presentation will increase the attendees’ awareness of the regulatory issues raised by rotorcraft IFR operations. It will also address the new concepts corresponding to the needs and capacity of rotorcraft.

The topic of the presentation is: The GARDEN project: Tackling regulation issues for Environment Friendly Rotorcraft Specific IFR procedures
Auteurs : Anne-Laure Vogel, Alexa Hourclats, Egis Avia / Philippe Rollet, Eurocopter

The symposium will be held at Pullman Hotel in Cologne, Germany, from 07/12/11 to 08/12/11. For more information, visit http://www.easa.eu.int/events/events.php?startdate=07-12-2011&page=5th_Rotorcraft_Symposium
