Egis Avia has been contracted by French DSNA in providing support to define and consolidate the operational needs of airport, approach and en-route control centres.

In this context and for new operational needs, Egis Avia assists DSNA with:

• Defining the operational requirements of the ATM system;
• Quantifying the expected benefits;
• Carrying out experiments to assess the impacts on controllers’ working processes;
• Training operational staff.

These engineering activities are conducted in an ever-changing context due to the Single European Sky advent and to the Eurocontrol safety regulatory requirements (Eurocontrol Safety Regulatory Requirements). Short-term and medium-term objectives focus on improving controllers’ tools and reorganizing the Paris region airspace.

To take over the project’s challenges, Egis Avia, as a leading player in the ATM industry, has built a multidisciplinary and highly-skilled team composed of engineers, human factors and safety experts.

This 6-year contract strengthens Egis Avia’s position and increases its expertise value in ATM consulting and engineering.
