The design and construction of two new airport terminals in Paphos and Larnaca (Cyprus) to replace the outdated existing facilities.

 

 

Hermes Airports is a consortium into which Egis group is represented by Egis projects. In response to the Cyprus government, the latter will contribute their expertise in airport management for the next 25 years. The closing agreement took effect on May 12th 2006.

 

 

  1. Egis avia provides expertise in engineering and technical consulting for Hermes and the different actors for the implementation of this project.
  2. The contract is for the design and construction of two airport terminals and exterior developments for an average amount of €600 million. In addition, the creation of the Airport Aeronautical Equipment company has been necessary in order to supply turn key specific equipments (€60 million) for both terminals:
  • Baggage-handling systems, security gates, check-in facilities
  • Passenger information systems, CUTE systems, operational database for operation and management.
  • Safety systems, airfield access control, CCTV
  • Electromechanical equipment, loading bridges, 400Hz power supply, pre-air conditioning systems for aircraft, lighting.

The Egis avia Consulting and Engineering unit will provide a primary contractor assistance for a total amount of € 1 900 000, covering every specific equipments for both aiports (Paphos & Larnaka) as well as telecommunication infrastructures.

 

Counsulting and studies for the consortium

  • Audit of technical specifications of civil works for taxiway and taxilanes to link the existing runway
  • Architecture and deployement of IT systems (strategy IT and engineering of these sytems), and associated networks for both sites.
  • Masterplanning and programming of both airports during the concession period
  • Aeronautical pavement study, inspection disorders and stratégic solution for heavy repairs
  • Study for maintenance stratégy for both sites
