In order to cope with the increasing demand in air traffic, the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has decided to implement a seamless, cost-effective, worldwide air traffic management system relying on the concept known as CNS/ATM (Communication Navigation Surveillance / Air Traffic Management). Along with satellite-based navigation (Global Navigation Satellite System), Data Link systems and more especially the Aeronautical Telecommunication Network (ATN) are the main cornerstone of CNS / ATM.
After extensive validation and trials sessions, ATN and its operational applications are progressively being implemented on a wordwide basis. Status of ATN services depIoyment varies according to world regions:
- Europe has adopted the Single European Sky Data Link Services Implementing Rule for 2013/2015 for Controller Pilot DataLink Communications (CPDLC)
- Asia is focused on achieving ATN ground network to support Aeronautical Message Handling System (AMHS)
communications
- the US have launched the NextGEN programme to enhance their CNS systems
Egis Avia provides a modular, flexible and portable solution for ground platforms and aircraft which gives the opportunity to implement the next generation of datalink systems while remaining compatible with former used equipments. Easy Link is our innovative and reliable range of products; a valuable solution to expedite our clients' transition towards Data Link:
-
ProATN
: ATN ground-ground and air-ground routers
- ATN Ground End System (ATN-ES)
: implementing a full ATN communication stack
-
DL-FEP
: a Data Link front-end communication processor (ATN, FANS)
Egis Avia commissions turnkey Data Link systems in experimental and operational environments. For these solutions, our associated services range from preliminary studies to commissioning, training and aftersales services in order to ensure a simple implementation and seamless transition to new CNS architecture.
The AREOPAGE
system is an extension to the Egis Avia solution. This system provides a legal recording option, a surveillance and GNSS data testing options in compliance with OACI’s recommendations. The system is developed by the Civil Aviation and is distributed across France borders by Egis Avia along with a complete set of engineering services and turnkey systems.
