Green Aviation Show, Le Bourget

The 2nd edition of the Green Aviation Show took place from June 18th to 20th 2010 at Paris-Le Bourget Airport. Egis Avia conducted a conference on the new procedures in air traffic.

Below is a short synopsis of the presentation:

The air traffic structural growth raises congestion issues and causes increased environmental impact. Sequencing technologies such as AMAN-DMAN are clearly presented as solutions to better coordinate and optimise air traffic. When associated to new concepts and procedures such as CDA, CDM, 4D trajectories, these systems have proven to significantly reduce environmental footprint by cutting down fuel consumption, CO2 emissions or noise pollution. New and multiple initiatives come into being, especially through the SESAR research projects and by implementing such concepts they demonstrate measurable and positive outcomes. As a relevant example, the arrival and departure management system AMAN-DMAN MAESTRO is one of the key enablers to move forward greener and more sustainable aviation.

Dedicated to both professional and public audiences, the show included an exhibition demonstrating future aircraft technologies as well as a conference section leaded by major aeronautical stakeholders.
