Maestro is an arrival/departure flights sequencing system and a multi-airport and multi-runway decision making tool designed to manage approach operations on airports.
Atalis is an aeronautical information management processing system offering automating production and maintenance operations and the use of information of the aeronautical information system by end-users.

>>>Maestro

Maestro is a multi-airport and multi-runway decision making tool designed to manage approach operations on airports. The system enables an optimum utilisation of airspace and runway capacity by distributing the workload associated to arrival and departure control among En-Route, Approach and ground-based controllers involved, thus minimising delays and excessive fuel consumption.
In this perspective, the system provides En-Route, Approach and Tower controllers with graphical views of the computed sequence and the control actions which have to be taken accordingly. Throughout this process, controllers keep the sequence operations well in hand as Maestro enables them to make manual changes in order to test sequencing options.

Arrival Management – AMAN:

  • Keeps record of arrival flight plans from the local Flight Data Processing System (FDPS)and of radar tracks from the local Radar Data Processing System (RDPS)
  • Allocates each incoming aircraft to a destination runway in accordance with geographic runway allocation rules, runway restrictions associated with noise reduction procedures, selected Terminal Control Area (TMA) configuration and runway separations and flight priorities.
  • Calculates the optimum scheduled time of arrival at the TMA entry fix and at the runway threshold and the delays to be absorbed to abide by this scheduled time
  • Optimises the overall sequence in order to minimise the delays and holding pattern situations
  • Displays the sequence on every controller’s position involved and provides them with En-Route and Approach advice on the actions to take to absorb these delays
  • Generates automatic coordination messages to relevant positions when the sequence is modified by one of the controllers

Departure Management – DMAN:

  • Keeps record of departure flight plans from the local Flight Data Processing System (FDPS), of ground tracks from the Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System, of Central Flow Management Unit slots from the Air Traffic Flow Control Management and aircraft operators priorities from airport external systems
  • Assigns each aircraft a departure runway and the corresponding holding point according to off-line runway allocation rules and information shared with the AMAN function (runway separations and configuration, closures, arrival sequence)
  • Computes take-off times according to the Estimated Off-Block Time, slot constraints and average taxiing time parameterised off-line of provided by the Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System
  • Plans and optimises the departure sequence for each runway according to flight priorities, runway constraints and arrival flights
  • Displays the computed sequence on Tower, Approach and En-Route relevant controller’s position thus providing a global view of the departure traffic to every actor involved.

>>>Atalis

Atalis is an aeronautical information management processing system offering automating production and maintenance operations and the use of information of the aeronautical information system by end-users. Different modules form this comprehensive system :

  • AIP/MAP Production Maintenance Module: relying on a single database for both texts and charts, ATALIS AIP/MAP is the solution to ease and secure the production of a State’s whole set of aeronautical publications. Text and map data refer to a reliable database which is validated at multiple levels. This module also covers bilingual AIPs, including non-occidental fonts.
  • Notice to Airmen (Notam) Management Module: using an automated data processing and relying on an international Notam database, ATALIS Notam Management is the solution to provide reliable and accurate aeronautical information in the form of Notam lists or Pre-flight Information Bulletins. Notam messages repetition, assembly of multipart messages and proper message syntax are handled by the system.
  • Flight preparation module: a management system of flight preparation (flight plan deposit and processing, pre-flight information bulletin production and provision). The system implements a flight folder concept where all data and messages related to a flight are stored.
  • General Information Management module: an airport data observation system providing for instance meteorological data and alarms, real-time status of ground electronic devices, procedures in force and restrictions, Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network related information as well as all useful local airport information
  • Flight Movement Management module: a natural extension to the Flight Preparation module which provides flight management and coordination support for controllers in Towers, Flight Information Centres and Area Control Centres. Automatic flight strips can be configured to handle flights and flight lists are managed in real-time.
  • Additional modules: invoicing, procedures definition, meteorological data.
